What data we collect

some.day collects only the data you choose to provide. You can use the platform entirely anonymously — no email, no name, no account required.

If you choose to share more, we may collect:

  • Email address (only if you claim your account)
  • Display name (optional)
  • Goals you create
  • Check-in entries and reflections
  • Gratitude entries
  • Phone number (premium, only if you opt in to SMS features)

We do not collect analytics, tracking pixels, or browser fingerprints. We do not sell your data.

How your data is used

Your data is used exclusively to provide the some.day service:

  • Goals, check-ins, and gratitude entries are stored to display your personal dashboard and reflection history.
  • Personalized affirmations are generated using your goals and recent activity. This data is processed by our AI provider (see below) and is never used for any other purpose.
  • Email address (if provided) is used for account access, password reset, and optional weekly engagement nudges. You can unsubscribe at any time.
  • Phone number (if provided) is used only for premium SMS features.

Third-party services

some.day uses a small number of trusted services to operate:

  • Anthropic (Claude API) — Processes your goals, check-ins, and gratitude entries to generate personalized affirmations and insights. Your data is sent to Anthropic only for this purpose and is not stored by Anthropic beyond the request. Email addresses and phone numbers are stripped before any data is sent.
  • SendGrid — Sends transactional emails (password reset, weekly nudges) on our behalf. SendGrid processes your email address only for delivery purposes.
  • DigitalOcean — Hosts the application and database. All data is stored on DigitalOcean managed infrastructure with encryption at rest.

We do not share your data with advertisers, data brokers, or any other third parties.

Data retention and deletion

Your data is retained as long as your profile exists. Anonymous profiles that have had no activity for 12 months may be automatically deleted.

If you have a claimed account, you can request deletion of all your data at any time by contacting us. We will remove your profile and all associated goals, check-ins, gratitude entries, affirmations, and contact information within 30 days.
